Yes, go somewhere without adult supervision was on my bucketlist. I lived a sheltered life, all right? Lets just be glad I crossed it off!

I did it! I finally kissed someone! This milestone didn’t happen until the first semester of my sophomore year of high school. My first kiss was all kinds of awkward, as most first kisses are, however it was also very much like something you would see in a movie. In fact, I happened to be filming a movie when it happened! Let me give you a short version of the story-

As he walked in he was deemed instantly attractive and caught every girl’s eye. However, after one sighing stare into those beautiful blue-green eyes, the hint of, well, douche bag struck my nose. I was to innocent to know what that smell was at the time, and too young to care. He was gorgeous, and he must have thought I was too, because he quickly ended up with my number in his phone. One thing led to another and during one scene he texted me asking for a kiss. I responded how much I would like that, however it would be my first one. That didn’t seem to bother him too much and we ended up on the third floor hallway outside the bathrooms. He leaned in, the butterflies went crazy, but it all went down hill from there.

Lets just say, the kiss ended up with him saying, “Its okay, you weren’t ready.” and me saying, “Um, thank you, it was, uh nice.” As well as friends and family laughing at me from that day forward. (Really though, who the heck says thank you?? That decision made by younger-Felicia is completely cringe worthy.)

To top it all off, my movie-star first kissed rejected my Facebook friend request, because, he happened to be in a relationship. Update: I now know what duche-bag smells like.

The award, any award, I received comes with both pride and slight embarrassment. My high school is quite competitive in all areas, academics, sports, even being a good person. I happened to receive an award recognizing my ‘better-goodness-than-anyone-else” that came in the form of a scholarship. I was very proud of myself, once I realized I had actually won. Here comes the slight embarrassment. When my name was called, I didn’t get up, because frankly, I wasn’t paying attention. Then after a second the girl to my left nudged me. I looked at her, and asked, “Wait, they said my name? Are you sure?” After this, I proceeded to get up, shocked, pointing at myself in confusion all the way until I reached the podium.

I got a lot of comments (and concerns) about my look of surprise for a few days afterwards.

Well, I think thats enough story time for one post. If you want to hear more about California and England, be sure to check back soon!
